Action-learning that works
Integrating learning and executing
Our trademark Learn-and-Execute® methodology integrates learning and execution in a powerful and flexible way. All the ORCHANGO programs are designed according to this distinctive format.
In a nutshell, Learn-and-Execute® is action-learning for the real-world; action-learning that works.
As discussed in Chapter 3 of our story, we developed the methodology through extensive trial and error; hence, its effectiveness.
Applying Five key principles
Learn-and-Execute® embodies the following principles:
- Structured setting – because our research and experience has proven that action-learning doesn’t work without proper structure (most of the action-learning models described in the academic literature are ineffective, either because they lack structure, or because they use a weak approach).
- Participants working together on current, real business issues – because people are too busy to attend a learning program, unless they can make real progress on their work challenges while learning. Furthermore, the program needs to be tightly linked / driven by the activities required to execute the strategy and the business plan.
- Relevant learning themes and practical tools – to help participants tackle their current, real business issues; to drive the business plan; and to develop talent at the same time.
- Reflection sessions judiciously incorporated into the design – because deep and significant learning occurs only as a result of reflection. Experience is the best teacher, but only when participants reflect on their experiences in a thorough and effective manner.
- Masterly and energizing facilitation – otherwise the program doesn't deliver on its promise and precious resources and momentum is lost.

Eliminating the "black hole"
One of the key characteristics of Learn-and-Execute® format is that it eliminates the “black hole” into which most learning disappears after traditional classroom sessions.
Bottom line: maximum value to both the organization and the participants.
Not surprisingly, our Learn-and-Execute® format is a major reason why organizations choose ORCHANGO.
